National Careers Week – 1st to 6th March 2021

National Careers Week.  Of the 154 schools and colleges in the Lancashire Careers Hub, around 20 are currently without an Enterprise Adviser.  Young people need that critical support to help them move from the world of education to work.  Offering links you can help schools build with local business and employers is invaluable.

So how can you help?

During National Careers week we have scheduled an hour to help.   From 12-1pm on Tuesday the 2nd March for a “working lunch” zoom call entitled Bring a buddy & #ReWriteTheStory.  Where we need you to think through your list of friends, colleagues, business associates, etc.  Who do you know who may be interested in becoming an Enterprise Adviser?  Bring them along to this call.  There is no pressure to sign up or make a commitment, it is just a chance for them to hear from current Enterprise Advisers and learn about the role and what the Careers Hub is doing. But this will only work if you/we can bring these new people to the table.

Whilst we still have gaps across Lancashire, our two main priority areas are for North Lancs (Lancaster and Morecambe) as well as Central Lancs (Preston, Leyland and Chorley). So everybody is welcome who wishes to join the network, but extra bonus points if you can help us in these key areas…

If you know someone who would like to come along and learn a bit more, please share this survey link with them which takes less than a minute to complete so the meeting details can be sent across. If you are attending the meeting with them then please also fill in your details so we can invite you as well.

Yes I have a job working on a Redrow Homes site in Blackpool painting for a contractor. I would like to thank you once again for getting me back in the workplace during these strange and unusual times Covid 19 has presented us with. Keep safe and hope to work again for you guys in the future.
